PARPC Girls recreational softball is a great program for youth to learn the sport of softball or brush up on skills! It is a 2-3x per week schedule so it’s not a huge commitment and runs from mid-April to early June. Includes a softball t-shirt, hat, and softball socks.

PRACTICES: Begin after Easter break, the week of April 1st, weather permitting.  Two practices per week in the first 2-3 weeks of preseason. When games begin, it moves to 1-2x games per week with some practices mixed in when the schedule allows. Game schedule will be available late April when eligible teams are signed up and games are assigned from the softball league. SCHEDULE TIMEFRAME: Schedules do not come out until after registration closes and all papers are received in order to leave no child behind and the opportunity to be on a team that fits their schedule of days available noted on registration forms. Also, games will be released the end of April in order to accommodate the softball league requirements and other team’s schedules in neighboring areas. Again, in an effort to leave no child behind for the opportunity to participate in recreational sports. Each season is different due to this, and we appreciate your patience.

COST: $90 ($5.00 discount for siblings) Register by February 18th (Late Fee+$20 February 19th- February 24th) Registration is closed after February 24th with no late registrations accepted, so please sign up early!

Your coach will contact you by March 10th regarding practice times. * Please note coaches do not contact players all on the same day. If you aren’t contacted by March 10th, please check your SPAM email first on the email you provided to us, then email hhershey@palmyrarec.org with your child’s name and age.

EQUIPMENT: Please bring your own softball mitt and cleats are optional. You will need to purchase softball pants for games, but your softball team shirt, hat, and socks will be provided from PARPC – all included in your registration fee. Balls, helmets, bats, umpire pads, etc are all available to borrow.

Coaches and Assistant Coaches: Please provide a State Police Criminal Background Certificate and Child Abuse Clearance Certificate (please do not send a link as it always times out) emailed to hhershey@palmyrarec.org before the first practice.

All games are in the local, Palmyra PA area.

R&K fundraiser form to download (helps with softball equipment costs)- TBA with pickup from 2:30pm to 5:30pm at 325 South Railroad St, Palmyra. Forms can be put in the tan drop box outside of the Palmyra Municipal Building at the above address 24/7. Proceeds go toward equipment purchases and to keep registration fees low for the community.
